Hi, I’m Varshik, a B.Sc. Agriculture student from Hyderabad, blogger, and explorer at the intersection of AI, sustainability, and farming.
Why I Write
I was 19 when my mum sent me out to buy tomatoes. I believed organic food was “better,” but I didn’t really know why.
At the store, the choice stared back at me: organic small, pricey, imperfect vs synthetic shiny, flawless, double the quantity. I picked the synthetic ones. It felt like the smarter deal.
But walking home, something didn’t sit right. If organic is better for health and soil, why did I still choose synthetic so easily? That’s when a new question took root: what makes food valuable beyond price and looks and what happens to the soil, the land, the people behind it?
That moment planted the curiosity that still drives me: to see deeper, question assumptions, and search for farming and living that connects what we often overlook.
Through my blog, I focus on:
Climate change and its direct impact on farming
Organic and sustainable practices that protect both soil and farmer livelihoods
Agri-tech and AI innovations that can make farming smarter, not harder
Renewable energy and its role in building resilient food systems
These aren’t just topics they’re urgent challenges we all must engage with.
Agriculture stands at a crossroads:
On one side, it contributes to climate change through deforestation, fertilizer overuse, and unsustainable practices.
On the other hand, it holds the solutions for conservation tillage, crop rotation, agroforestry, cover cropping, organic methods, and renewable energy integration.
Beyond the Blog
Publishing more than 50 blogs on sustainability, soil biology, environmental impact, traditional agricultural knowledge & timing, renewable energy/agri-tech, organic farming, and AI in agriculture, I now reach 1,000+ readers each month on LinkedIn, Medium, and here.
